Your company knowledge is one of your most valuable assets. Here is exactly how Nous keeps it private, protected, and under your control.
Your data stays yours
Per-tenant isolation
Every business runs in its own isolated tenant. Documents, knowledge bases, chat history and every search are scoped to your tenant at every layer of the platform — your data is never shared with, mixed with, or visible to any other business.
Your data never leaves our cloud
Your documents are stored and processed inside the cloud infrastructure we operate. We never sell your content or hand it to third-party data brokers or analytics services — even web search runs on infrastructure we host ourselves.
Encryption in transit & at rest
Everything you send to Nous travels over encrypted connections (TLS), and your documents and databases are encrypted at rest. Your knowledge is protected on the wire and on disk.
Never used for AI training
Your content is never used to train AI models — not by us, and not by the model providers we work with. Your documents power your answers, and nothing else.
Export or delete your data anytime
Your knowledge is an asset you own. Take your documents with you whenever you want, or ask us to delete them — deletion removes your content and everything derived from it. There's no lock-in.
Control who sees what
Custom user roles
Roles decide who administers the platform, who manages knowledge, and who can only ask questions. Give each person exactly the level of control their job needs — nothing more.
Workspace access controls
Workspaces keep team knowledge with the team. A workspace's content is visible to its members only — joining is explicit, so sensitive material never drifts beyond the people it was shared with.
Advanced permissions
Access follows ownership and membership: a person can see a document only if they own it, it lives in a knowledge base shared with them, or it belongs to a workspace they are a member of. AI answers follow the same rules — Nous only ever retrieves from what the person asking is allowed to read.
Audit logging
Administrative and privileged actions are recorded, so your admins can always see who did what, and when. Accountability is built in, not bolted on.
